Lynn Bekkers has had
a life long involvement with animals which includes a different
variety of family animal companions. She has been involved with
dog sports for over 9 years.
Lynn volunteers for
Emergency Social Service Pet Care with the City of Port Moody, as well
as Noah’s Wish, who responds to disasters and rescues animals from the
sites. In the summer of 2004 she attended the Littooet, B.C. fires
and aided with the evacuation of several different types of animals.
Working with small
and large corporation companies and looking for a change for heart, and
her passion interest in animals, she found her answer in the health and
well being of animals.
She has attained her
training in Canada and the U.S. for large and small animal massage,
animal reflexology, Therapeutic Touch and aided in other energy
modalities.
Her certification
includes; Small Animal Massage Practitioner, Large Animal Massage
Practitioner, Therapeutic Touch Practitioner and is currently working
towards her Registered Therapeutic Touch Practitioner designation. She
is also a member of the British Columbia Therapeutic Touch Network.
Leash On Wellness
Animal Massage was established in January 2005, after the completion of
the certification programs in 2004.
